12 AISI 304 STAINLESS STEEL Foster AISI 304 steel is an austenitic, non-magnetic stainless steel composed of a high Chromium and Nickel content that provides superior strength and durability. AISI 304 steel is also known as 18-10 stainless steel (18% Chromium 10% Nickel). Foster has always performed strict quality control on all stainless steels in every process. This attention to detail, typical of artisan’s, has always distinguished Foster products. The thickness of the steel chosen by Foster allows to obtain products that are more solid, resistant and extremely long-lasting. Foster steels are treated with special vegetable fiber brushes that give the characteristic texture of Foster’s steel. This particular process allows to obtain an extra fine surface, impossible to obtain with the classic metal brushes and much easier to clean. Foster

They are obtained through a physical – not chemical – process granting a higher resistance than any other treatment: • Exceptional superficial hardness: up to 13 times more than regular stainless-steel. • Superior thickness: Foster PVD is up to 50% thicker than the market average. • High resistance against wear and abrasion. • No risk of exfoliation of the PVD layer: the surface will always remain of the original color. • High resistance to temperature: suitable for use with hot-water faucets at boiling temperature (212°F). • High resistance against corrosion, solvents, detergents, and high acidity food. • Unalterable by UV rays. • Extra-low ecological impact.

23 GAS | Cooktops THE PERFECT COOKER Foster cooktops feature the state-of-art european technology: high efficiency, power, and precise control. A vast range of solutions is available to create the ideal cooking zone.

26 SAFE COOKING All Foster cooktops are equipped with either re-ignition or safety valves. These shut off the gas supply very quickly if the flame accidentally goes out. The utmost freedom of movement it is guaranteed by the electronic under-knob ignition that allows a one-hand movement. METAL KNOBS Exclusive and original, the Foster metal knobs are an example of the strength and quality of the materials used. A distinctive feature shared by all the Foster elements in this collection, form an elegant uniformity in the kitchen. BURNERS AND GRIDS The AE dual burner allows ultrahigh and ultra-low temperatures thanks to two independent crowns of fire. All Foster cooktops are equipped with cast-iron grids, a material with many advantages: high thermal capacity (i.e. better efficiency); weight (more safety); sturdiness; easiness to clean. The continuous platform of the grids makes it easy to move large pots. Foster

27 FLUSH-MOUNT The Flush-mount FM edge is designed for installation into a 1 mm deep recess on the countertop, which allows the appliance to be perfectly flush with the worktop. FLUSH-MOUNT The installation on top of the worktop avoids having to make the recess in the worktop and thanks to the minimum thickness of 1mm, the surfaces will be almost completely integrated. STANDARD Foster’s “Standard” recessed edge protrudes by either 8 (1/3”) or 11 mm (1/2”) from the worktop. All the Foster Standard edges are made of high-quality stainless steel, selected by Foster for its sinks, bowls and gas hobs. 39 THE PERFECT COOKING STATION Foster’s Rangetops bring a professional look to the cooking area. Their steel elegance grants a remarkable visual impact, whatever the style and materials of the kitchen. GAS | Rangetops

40 XXL CAST IRON GRIDS Performance and practicality are the main features of the Foster Milano Rangetop. The weighty enamelled cast iron grid has extraordinary dimensions, with a working surface up to 50% bigger compared to a normal domestic cooker hob. It is now possible to use all the burners at the same time, even with large pots. POWER AND EFFICIENCY The last generation AE burners (high efficiency) are efficient and powerful, providing more than 25% energy saving compared to standard burners. All Rangetop models are designed with at least one wok Dual burner of 15.500 Btu/h and the six burner model has even two wok burners. The Dual burners system, or twin-use, offers the possibility to ignite only the inner crown, to heat a small coffee pot or pan, or both crowns, using only one knob. Foster

41 AN ERGONOMIC CONTROL PANEL The frontal position of the knobs, due to the inclination of the control board, guarantees an everyday practicality. Their generous size and original shape guarantee an easy and safe grip. The under-knob ring is not only a fine stylistic detail, but also of great help when cleaning the hob. FULLY EQUIPPED The Foster Milano Rangetop with the in-line burners is also available with an elegant “back shelf” on which the most commonly used products can be stored: salt, spices, and oil can always be within reach (ref. 3154 900). 94 XXL CAST IRON GRIDS Performance and practicality are the main features of the Foster Milano Rangetop. The weighty enamelled cast iron grid has extraordinary dimensions, with a working surface up to 50% bigger compared to a normal domestic cooker hob. It is now possible to use all the burners at the same time, even with large pots. The frontal position of the knobs, due to the inclination of the control board, guarantees an everyday practicality. POWER AND EFFICIENCY The last generation AE burners (high efficiency) are efficient and powerful, providing more than 25% energy saving compared to standard burners. All Rangetop models are designed with at least one wok Dual burner of 15.500 Btu/h and the six burner model has even two wok burners. The Dual burners system, or twin-use, offers the possibility to ignite only the inner crown, to heat a small coffee pot or pan, or both crowns, using only one knob. Foster
