12 Foster FOSTER STEELS Foster AISI 304 steel is an austenitic, non-magnetic stainless steel composed of a high Chromium and Nickel content that provides superior strength and durability. AISI 304 steel is also known as 18/10 stainless steel (18% Chromium 10% Nickel). Foster has always performed strict quality control on all stainless steels in every process. This attention to detail, typical of artisans, has always distinguished Foster products. The steel thickness chosen by Foster allows to obtain products that are more solid, resistant and extremely long-lasting. Foster AISI 316 grade steel is a special stainless steel, typically used in the nautical industry, with extremely high resistance to salt, harsh detergents, and acids in food. Foster has chosen this steel to create products suited to the harshest environments. Foster steels are treated with special vegetable fiber brushes that give the characteristic texture of Foster’s steel. This particular process allows to obtain an extra fine surface, impossible to obtain with the more commonly used synthetic brushes, and much easier to clean.
