GENERAL CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE

Warranty on Foster appliances

Foster offers five years, limited warranty on all its appliances, guaranteeing them to be free of defects in material and craftsmanship upon purchase. The warranty will cease to operate if the original consumer sells their home. Accessories to the appliance such as, for example, cast-iron grids and knobs for gas cooktops, or grills, pans and knobs for ovens, are covered by a one-year, limited warranty. The normal wear&tear of these parts is not covered by the present warranty.

Scratching, staining and acid or alkaline etching of the surface finish over time due to regular use, cleaning or water and atmospheric conditions, is to be considered normal wear&tear and not a manufacturing defect. Please refer to the user’s manual for instructions on how to care for your appliance.

The PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is covered by a two years’ warranty. Failing to respect the specific cleaning and maintenance instructions for the PVD surfaces will void the warranty on the treatment.

The Foster appliances are meant only for residential use. In case of commercial use, the warranty is not applicable.

This warranty is valid only for appliances sold in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Foster will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product, after inspection of the appliance, in person or through pictures/videos, has confirmed the presence of a manufacturing defect.

Damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse of the product is not covered by this warranty. Damage caused by improper installation or during installation are not covered by this warranty.

Damage caused by improper care and cleaning will void the warranty. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided with all warranty claims. Foster is not responsible for removal, installation, labor charges and any other incidental or consequential cost. The liability of Foster shall under no circumstances exceed the original purchase price of the appliance.

In case of claim please contact your dealer or Foster Milano Inc. Please make sure to have your proof of purchase available, model number and description, and all relevant information on the issue.

In case Foster replaces the product with a new one, please refer to the following chart for residual value of your original product:

Product up to one year old: full value
Product from one to two years old: 80% of full value
Product from two to three years old: 60% of full value
Product from three to four years old: 40% of full value
Product from four to five years old: 30% of full value

Foster and/or the seller provide this warranty in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose. Foster and/or the seller disclaim all liability for special, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of such damages, so these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. The consumer may also have other rights, varying from jurisdiction to

jurisdiction.

Warranty on Foster faucets

Foster warrants its faucets used under normal residential conditions to be leak and drip free for a period of 20 (twenty) years. If the faucet should leak or drip during said period, Foster will mail free of charge the replacement cartridge, to restore the normal working conditions of the faucet. The warranty is valid for as long as the original consumer owns their home.

For all other components and accessories, the warranty is limited to:

Five years for surface chromed or satin finish. Failing to respect the specific cleaning and maintenance instructions for the PVD faucet will void the warranty on the treatment.
Two years for surface PVD finish and spare parts, gaskets, O-rings.

The Foster faucets are meant only for residential use. In case of commercial use, the warranty is limited to one year. If the faucet is used in leased or rented residential single or multi-family units, such as duplexes, townhomes, condominiums and apartments, Foster warrants the faucet to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship for a period of ten years to the original consumer who owns the property but does not live there.

This warranty is valid only for faucets sold in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse of the product is not covered by this warranty.

Damage caused by improper installation or during installation are not covered by this warranty. Any visible defect of the faucet must therefore be claimed before installation. If the faucet has been installed, it is up to the manufacturer to still accept a defect claim.

Warranty on Foster sinks

Foster offers a lifetime, limited warranty on all its sinks, guaranteeing them to be free of defects in material and craftsmanship upon purchase. The warranty is valid for as long as the original consumer owns their home. For all other components and sink’s accessories the warranty is limited to two years.

The PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is covered by five years, limited warranty. Failing to respect the specific cleaning and maintenance instructions for the PVD sinks will void the warranty on the

treatment.

The sinks are meant only for residential use. In case of commercial use, the warranty is limited to one

year.

This warranty is valid only for sinks sold in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Foster will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product, after inspection of the sink, in person or through pictures/videos, has confirmed the presence of a manufacturing defect.

The troughs are meant only for residential use. In case of commercial use, the warranty is limited to one

year.

This warranty is valid only for sinks sold in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Foster will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product, after inspection of the sink, in person or through pictures/videos, has confirmed the presence of a manufacturing defect.

Damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse of the product is not covered by this warranty.

Damage caused by improper installation or during installation are not covered by this warranty. Any defect of the trough must therefore be claimed before installation. If the trough has been installed, it is up to the manufacturer to still accept a defect claim.
